Growing up in Cary, North Carolina, Cecilia Jensen trained in dance at Cary Ballet Conservatory, with a focus in classical ballet and pointe work. She performed in many traditional ballets for the Cary Ballet Company, such as The Sugarplum Fairy in The Nutcracker, Odette in Swan Lake, and Aurora in Sleeping Beauty. She is now pursuing a BFA in Dance Performance at the University of South Florida and is expected to graduate in spring of 2026. While maintaining a ballet foundation, Cecilia is additionally studying contemporary movement and choreography. She has performed in multiple original works, including those choreographed by Roderick George, Jennifer Archibald, and Andrew Carroll. While at USF, she choreographed annually for the Student Dance Production Board, where she served as president in 2025-2026. Cecilia's interest in blending contemporary and ballet styles is reflected in her choreographic projects. She is currently working for Tampa City Ballet as a guest artist in their spring '26 season.
